JoJo Simmons Addresses Rumors

JoJo Simmons visited The Breakfast Club to clear up the rumors about him that have been online recently. JoJo discusses the Houston strip club incident saying:

“It was some funny promoter stuff that went down. We weren’t held or nothing. I was with my boy Heavy. We was chillin. We had got paid, me and some other celebrity kids. We had got paid to this first show and then they said they had some money for us to come do the strip club. So we went to the strip club. They paid us some bread, and I threw that bread they paid me. And I stayed longer than the other celebrities.”

“So when we about to walk out the door, dude had brought me to that back, and he was like, ‘Where the ball players at?’ I’m like, ‘What ball players?’ He was like, ‘I was told ball players were coming and that’s why I ok’d $1200 to the certain celebrities that I gave it to because I thought they were going to throw it, like that’s what ball players do.'”

“I’m sitting there like, ‘I don’t know what your talking about. I came with these people. Whatever money you paid I threw, plus more.’ And basically it was a back and forth thing of, ‘Wheres his money, he didn’t want to give it to the certain people he gave it to. He meant to give it to ball players, he was told ball players were coming.’ All this stuff.”

“It came down to the promoter just told me, pay him $400 and I’ll give it back to you when we get back to the hotel. So $400 is a hood tax.”

“I got paid back. It didn’t matter to me. I wasn’t held. I even asked dude at a certain point, I was like, ‘Are you holding me hostage right now?’ And he was like, ‘Nah’. He opened the back door and was like, ‘You can leave’. He didn’t really know the people that jerked him and I was trying to help him figure it out. It wasn’t like he held me hostage. I could have walked out.”

“I’m done with those promoters. It felt like a set up to me. It was all funny. I felt like one of the promoters was the one that told MediaTakeOut the story. It’s a bunch of stupid stuff.”

Angela Yee asked JoJo about the rumors that he hooked up with a transexual.

“I never met up with the person,” JoJo says. “It was all through twitter. It was a big msunderstanding. At first, the avi was a females backside, and I would not lie. I was dumb by dropping my number that quick. To me it was a girls butt. I’m pretty sure it was a female. Because when the tranny was sending pictures, it was only sending backside, backside. So I’m like, ‘Send me a picture of your face.’ And they were taking to long. So in the morning I had received the picture of the face. I’m looking at it like, ‘That got some manly features, nah this is a man.'”

JoJo said it made his “heart drop” when he heard the story and talks about what his parents said to him. He said his girlfriend was angry but, “She a ride or die [chick], so she gon’ ride out. Plus I got the Simmons bread. Who going to try and leave that?”

Charlamagne Tha God says that he’s concerned JoJo is going down the “thug path”. He also talks about JoJo’s music career asking, “Why not just hold Diggy down? Be what Russell was to Run.”

JoJo responds, “I have a certain love for music that I’m always going to make it regardless if it pops or not or if people like it or not. I’m always going to love my music. I’m always going to do it regardless. But I totally support my little brother.”

C Tha God says he has good lyrics but no flow or delivery. “You’re definitely right,” JoJo says. “I’m definitely trying to work on that and master my craft. And I know that. I’m not one of those people that’s in denial to, “Oh no, I’m hot, ya’ll just hating.’ I know I got to perfect my craft and do it every time.”
