Trae tha Truth, Master P & Jeezy Give Back
Happy Holidays everyone! We definitely want to take a minute to acknowledge all the artists who are giving back to the community and touching the lives of so many people in a positive way.
First stop: Houston, TX where Trae tha Truth spent the weekend playing Santa Claus at Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s Annual Christmas party, then bought out the ice cream truck so all the kids who left the event could have a treat to go along with the toys he handed out.
Then Trae went to the Community of Faith Church in North Houston, where he was joined by SDS members, JDawg, Mugg and Clarence. The guys helped church leader, Pastor Dixon, distribute lots of Christmas cheer in the form of toys and 5,000 pairs of shoes to those in need.
Trae ended his day with the Tiara Foundation which benefits children who are terminally ill, confined to wheelchairs or have parents afflicted with AIDS. Trae helped Founder, Olivia West, make a lot of very brave kids’ last wishes come true.
Second stop: Watts, CA where Master P and his son, Romeo had a U-Haul truck full of toys. According to allhiphop:
Entrepreneur P.Miller and son Romeo made sure thousands of children this year in Watts, California had a good Christmas after dispersing a U-Haul truck full of toys.
In partnership with the non-profits Reachback LA and OneMillionGifts.org, Miller and Romeo supplied the gifts over several hours to a line of recipients that spanned five blocks around the Bradley/Milken Youth and Family Building.
Third Stop: Atlanta, GA where Young Jeezy brought a group of kids to Justin’s Restaurant, where he brought them food, gifts and mentored them. According to MTV:
Jeezy gives back to underprivileged kids with his Street Dreamz organization. As a holiday treat on Sunday night (December 20), Jeezy brought a group of kids to Justin’s Restaurant in Atlanta, where they received food, gifts and mentoring from the Snowman himself. He held a similar event at Thanksgiving, and hopes to continue on with his outreach work moving forward.
