Currently on a promotional run for his upcoming double EP titled ‘Crown / Jewel’, The Dream returns to The Breakfast Club and talks about new music, where he has been recently as well as some personal items. The singer / songwriter cleared some things up in terms of music publishing and how important it is. He explains how he was in a horrendous publishing contract over a decade ago, netting him 30K a year even though he was penning platinum hits. This transitioned over to his reclusiveness in the past few years, The Dream reveals that he left Def Jam and is now on Capitol, but due to a stipulation in his contract, he was not permitted to sign another deal after an allotted time. Charlemagne asked the million dollar question, on whether he has any animosity towards Lil Wayne since he has dated two of his ex’s, singer Nivea and Christina Millian, to which he replied that Weezy actually gave him a courtesy call prior to dating Millian, and the two are actually working on music together.
