Terrance Dean joined The Breakfast Club to discuss his new book, MOGUL. He is also the bestselling author of the book, Hiding In Hip Hop. In HIHH, he told real stories about rappers and actors, but he didn’t reveal any names. He talks about the Mister Cee incident saying: “like most people in the industry, I wasn’t shocked. There are a couple of DJs we know about in New York.” Charlamagne asked him why he thinks hip hop and African Americans, are generally homophobic. He says it starts in the church and discusses different issues within the black community.
MOGUL is a fictional novel based on real experiences. Angela asked him if the parties he wrote about in the book were real. In the book, there are a network of gay men who have secret sex parties and things of that nature. Envy asked him if he’s ever had sex with a rapper. He said he thinks a black celebrity will come out “within the next year.” They talk about Queen Latifah coming out on Single Ladies. Envy asked Terrance when he knew he was gay and when he had his first gay experience. Terrance has a 22 year old son. He said he’s had sex with women many times before, and sometimes still has the desire to be with a woman. The Breakfast Club is even mentioned in the book. Apparently, their hot in the gay community.
