Lyfe Jennings Sentenced To 3 1/2 Years In Prison

Lyfe Jennings, who was recently a guest on Lip Service, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison in connection with a 2008 domestic dispute in Georgia. 

During the altercation, police said he broke down the door of the house where his former girlfriend and mother of his children were staying. They also say he fired gun shots into the door.  Police caught Jennings when he crashed his vehicle after a high-speed chase. 

Jennings pleaded guilty on Wednesday to to several charges including discharging a firearm, firearm possession by a convicted felon and attempting to elude police.

He began a serving a 10 year bid for arson when he was 19 years old. He was released from prison in 2002. His debut album “Lyfe 258-192” was released in 2004 and was certified platinum.
