2x NBA champion and basketball analyst Kenny “The Jet” Smith and his daughter, singer Kayla Brianna, joined The Breakfast Club to talk Love Music and Basketball. Kayla is signed to Interscope Records and opening up on tour for Mindless Behavior.

“I got to work with a lot of great producers. I got to work with No ID, The Internz, I got to work with a lot of great people. My single “Bombs Away” came out today on iTunes, so check that out.”

Kenny discusses being unfamiliar with the music business.

“Music is something I didn’t really know anything about. I know basketball. If you got kids, I can get them into a basketball school. But getting them a record deal, I have no idea what to do. This was really all on her. My thing was just to be supportive.”

“There’s 3 guys on the [current USA Olympic Basketball team] that would of made the Dream Team. Nobody else would of. And the three guys that made it would’t start, Lebron, Kobe and Kevin Durant. Those are the only three guys that would of made the Dream Team. And none of them would have started.”
