Compton native and Top Dawg Entertainment’s own Kendrick Lamar paid a visit to The Breakfast Club in promotion of his brand new lead single titled ‘i’ and the inspiration around the song. Lamar goes on to give the reception he received from fellow TDE members and their thoughts on the interesting song choice. The lyricist also spoke on trying to place a positive message in his music and giving the world something substantial in order to try to improve it in some capacity. Money and fame were also a topic of discussion as Kendrick clarified that he is not interested in chasing fame and the fact that attaining money often does not change you but instead changes the people around you.
