Bio:

Hi, my name is Guety Edouard and I’m 20 years old. I was born in Haiti but raised in Brooklyn, NY. I came here at the age of 7 with my dad and 2 older brothers, my mom stayed in Haiti. I was inspired by Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Michael/Janet Jackson, and Whitney Houston. I would memorize the lyrics so I could sing to my classmates during lunch break. My teachers would always tell me that I was a blessed child with a beautiful voice, when you’re young these things don’t mean that much to you. I didn’t have a best friend so my pen and notebook became just that. I started off writing poems but then would hum melodies, and turn my poems into songs.

By the time I was 9 I joined the school chorus and became the lead singer, people were amazed how such a little person could have such a big voice. That’s when I realized that God blessed me with a talent, a talent that I’m now old enough to make into a career, and become a positive role-model for young girls. My music comes from the heart and I would like to pour it out for the world to hear and feel.
