Chicago MC Chance The Rapper’s stock continues to rise and today he pays his first visit to The Breakfast Club and brings along Donnie Trumpet, a member of his band The Social Experiment. Chance delves into his beginnings as a musical artist back in his High School years when he was suspended from marijuana possession and took the opportunity to record his first ever mixtape. He also speaks on his upbringing in Chicago, while staying out of the perils of the streets due to the influence of his father, who is a government employee and has worked extensively with President Barack Obama. Another interesting tidbit from the sit down was Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave and him previously telling The Breakfast Club that he insult Chance to his face during their photo shoot for the XXL Magazine Freshman cover last year. Chance says that the two are on good terms and just see the world, music, and Hip Hop from two different perspectives. Check out the video above.
