Nigerian Rapper Ice Prince Talks Roc Nation, Artist Camaraderie & The Uprise of Nigerian Music

Nigerian superstar Ice Prince just interviewed at the Breakfast Club this morning. During the interview, he was compared to American rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar. According to the rapper, he’s in talks with Roc Nation. He met with JAY Z, and recalls him stating that he was a “great man”. Ice Prince says he will never forget the statement. Later in the interview, the Nigerian rapper shares his thoughts on why other types of music from other countries or cultures are not embraced by American media, radio or other entities. Jokingly, he calls Americans “bullies” and compares is to being the President of the World. He still lives in Nigeria, and he details the uprise of the music and entertainment markets on the West side of Africa. He says corporate companies are starting to show interest, and there are a lot of new artists being paid top dollar.
