The Weeknd returns with Echoes of Silence, a nine-track effort which is the final mixtape in the Balloons Trilogy.

Echoes of Silence immediately grabs your attention with, “D.D”, a remake of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana.” The song feels erie and ominous as you truly understand the struggle of a man trying to run home to his lady but falls weak and stays out instead -darn you Diana. As for features, Juicy J appears “Same Old Song” but does not rap, he rants about bringing $30,000 to the strip club, around the 5 minute mark, amusing.

Echoes of Silence maintains the same energy heard on the two previous projects House of Balloons & Thursday. Be prepared to hear confessions from a forlorn young man trying to figure out life, love, and the dangers of beautiful women.
