Media maven Karen Civil came by to The Breakfast Club and dished on her latest endeavors. Though the show was sans Yee, it was still very enlightening. Civil spoke on her background as a Haitian-American growing up in Elizabeth, New Jersey and the struggles she had to overcome in order to fit in with her peers. Her journey and come up in the music industry was also a poignant topic, as she detailed having the moxie and determination to make things happen for herself. Karen has now embarked on a college speaking tour where she gives this same inspirational story to youths across the nation hoping to enter the music industry. Aside from her new book which is slated for release and her management of rapper Nipsey Hussle, Karen Civil recently made a philanthropic trip to her Haiti, her parents native country, where she donated an orphanage to an underprivileged school.
