Singer Johnny Gill made a visit to The Breakfast Club for an extended interview where he really opened about his past and the present. Being introduced to the world as the replacement member of the classic R&B group New Edition, Gill spoke on the differences between members, punctuality issues, and even financial strifes that occurred. Much to everyone’s surprise, he revealed that there was talk of a possible joint gospel album between himself and Whitney Houston that never materialized. Not one to shy away from any questions, Charlamagne asked about the pesky gay rumors that have dogged him throughout his career. Gill revealed that he went as far as taking a lie detector test in order to prove to his ex-girlriend that the rumors were purely false. One of the more poignant moments of the interview came when Johnny Gill spoke on the death of his friend and former bandmate Gerald Levert, and the major effect it had on him.
