Comedic legend and actor John Witherspoon stopped by The Breakfast Club amidst the cold whether currently hitting New York City and gave a very candid interview. The icon spoke about his humble beginnings and eventually making his way to Hollywood. Witherspoon gave his thoughts on many of his peers in the comedy world, including Bill Cosby, not saying that he full on believes the accusations but thinks the entire situation is unsettling. He also says that he is ready and willing to make sequels to the ‘Friday’ film series as well as ‘Vampire In Brooklyn’. When the topic arose of sequels, he explained that he does not believe Chris Tucker will be involved in another Friday movie because he is heavily involved in the church and has his tax problems cleared up so he no longer needs the money. Another one of his many classic appearances was on the now infamous television series ‘The Boondocks’, in which he admits that the final season was a disaster because creator Aaron McGruder was not involved. Witherspoon even explained how the new producers of the show tried to hire someone to mimic the voice of his character on the show to cut costs. Listen to that, and many of John Witherspoon’s entertaining stories in the interview above.
