Should Lebron Train for the NFL?
Lebron has expressed interest in playing for the NFL yet again, in particular the Cleveland Browns. It may seem farfetched, but keep in mind that Lebron was an All-State wide receiver in high school. And Coach Eric Mangini would welcome him with open arms:
“I think he should come on down. I know he’s pretty busy right now, but if he wants to give it a shot, the guy is gifted. He’s competitive and tough. I’m sure whatever he applied himself to, he’d probably be good in baseball or soccer or swimming.”
One person (out of many) who doesn’t believe in his talents is New Orleans Saints’ Jeremy Shockey who tweeted: “Everyone trust me Lebron James could not play in the NFL! espn is crazy to even think he could even make a practice squad. hes a 4.9 40 time.”
Business-wise, it would be better to stay in the NBA with a guaranteed contract and remain a star rather than join the NFL, where the chances of injury are great and it’s harder to be a star unless you’re the quarterback. But he’s Lebron, so I guess he can do whatever he wants!
