Jadakiss Loves You

Jadakiss Loves You

Jadakiss has been quiet the past couple years since he released his third solo album The Last Kiss, in April ’09. (The same time Yee got him on Twitter -> @Therealkiss) This week he released  a new mixtape titled I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans.) Kiss visited The Breakfast Club to discuss the new mixtape album and other projects he’s working on.

Charlamagne asked him why he hasn’t put out a lot of music over the years. Kiss said “thats what makes me special… I just bird feed. It keeps me in demand.” He also says the business side “discouraged” him from releasing music years back. Angela asked him about the long-heard rumors of The LOX signing with Bad Boy. He said Diddy tried to make it work; but it couldn’t because of their past dealings. Jada says his relationship with Diddy is “tighter” and that they have a new found respect for each other.

Kiss discusses his new mixtape saying it’s different musically than his previous ones and it’s the first mixtape he’s put out in stores because Def Jam got behind it. He talks about the status of his deal with Roc-A-Fella, what happened to the “Boss Of All Bosses” tour with Cam’ron, and if he “likes” 50 Cent. Envy asked Kiss about a rumor that he charges artists a separate fee for his trademark “ah-huh.” He also talks about a couple novels he’s working on, one about how his lyrics affect inmates in jail and the other one for students & young kids. Finally, he discusses his long-awaited new album Top 5, Dead Or Alive.
