Ice Cube visited “The Morning After” and further clarified that he has no problem with new artists from the west, and that he’s done a lot to help other artists out.

“If an artist comes up to me that I like and I want to put my money behind him, I do it – I want to put my time and effort behind him, I’ll do it. But I’m not going to do it just because somebody get mad at me.”

Ice Cube also states that West Coast artists have always had to go above and beyond to get recognition, but that’s nothing new.
