Donkey of the Week (Penn State Scandal)
Donkey of the Week goes to the Penn State Protesters who were angry over the fact that Joe Paterno was fired following his involvement in the Jerry Sandusky scandal. In 2002, graduate assistant Mike McQueary witnessed the former defensive coordinator having anal sex with a young boy in the shower.
He told Paterno about it, who then reported the incident to athletic director Tim Curly. Curly and senior vice-president Gary Shultz (who McQueary told as well) stepped down this week and were both charged on multiple counts for failing to alert authorities about the allegations and lying to the state grand jury who were investigating Sandusky.
All the names highlighted are donkeys.
