Breakfast Club Court: Joe Budden
Joe Budden is the first person to stand trial on “Breakfast Club Court.” Joe is standing trial for allegedly assaulting Esther Baxter and killing their unborn baby. He gives his side of the events that unfolded that night and pleads not guilty to all charges.
He clarifies his rhyme on “Ordinary Love Shit Pt. 3,” where he admits that he lost his unborn daughter when they were fighting. He said that Esther is a “bad liar” and that the bruised pictures of her were probably “doctored.” He says he “didn’t hit her” and tells the story of their altercation and how it started. He said he dragged her out of bed… “a little light drag, nothing to hurt her.” They argued for five more minutes before he left the room. He said that she came in the room he went to and started screaming and yelling. Then she slammed his computer in the closet, twice!
“I jumped up like Thor… she’s kicking and punching and swinging… I put her on the ground, I don’t throw her on the ground… I do get on top of her. Do I sit on her stomach? No… I’m sitting right underneath her breasts… after about a minute, maybe 2, I get off her. To me, thats it, it’s over.”
He was arrested later that night after Esther pressed charges. He explains that he was dumfounded when the cops came and tells how the judge went on to give her the right to his house for a week. He talks about how he found out she was sleeping with Derrick Ward and he addresses the accusations that he beats women (Tahiry, Gloria Velez.)
“At no point am I saying that I haven’t done anything wrong, but I certainly haven’t done what’s being said” he says.
