The Morning After

Tameka Raymond “Lost Ones” Retreat

Usher

Tameka Raymond calls up “The Morning After” to discuss her Lost Ones Foundation which focuses on young ladies between the ages of 12 and 18. This Saturday-Wednesday she’ll be taking the selected girls on a retreat to mentor them and give makeovers.

“Some of the girls are homeless, they have so many different stories. A lot of them have been molested by family members. A lot of them are speaking of how they want to kill themselves because they just feel so low and depressed so we’re just trying to make them feel better and give them a good treat before Christmas.”

Tameka goes on to dispel some rumors in her personal life about reality shows, being a single parent, her relationship with Usher now, and the music he is putting out.

“You know it’s business, and I know that he’s making strides toward a comeback of a sort so there’s no telling what’s gonna go on that album. I have no idea… You know it’s actually all very flattering. Hey I’m one lil ol’ girl from Oakland, California – 2 albums it’s not bad.”

Not bad at all, and you can’t deny the fact that she is looking better than ever these days, despite all the negativity on the blogs. There must be something about being back on the market and giving a helping hand to the community that agrees with her!

  1. Way to go Tameka! I’m so sick of everyone trying to run you down about this Usher stuff. You’re 1 individual. You can’t live your life for someone else. You must go on! I applaud you for that. Oh and I agree that you’re looking even better these days, because you were looking great before!! HEYYY!!!! Love you Tameka and I’m glad to be following you on Twitter!

  2. I love this lil ol’ girl from Oakland Ca. She is the bomb. I love her motivation and her willingness to help girls. I want to get involved some how, even if its the backpack program in my city of Oakland. I am proud that she doesn’t let the media get to her. The media distroy lives. I must give it to her though for holding her head up high through the mist of all the negativity!! Keep up the good work Tameka you have people looking up to you. ;-)

  3. This lady is a survivor. And has kept her private business out of the media as much as possible. I am a huge fan of Usher music, however I do not like when people blame others for failures in relationship. Especially when children are involved. They do grow up and will listen to what you said.
