Record executive and reality star Mickey “Memphitz” Wright was arrested Monday after attempting to board a flight with a loaded .40 caliber pistol. The weapon was found in his suitcase while he was going through a routine security check point at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

He claims he forgot he had the gun and had no intention of bringing it to the airport. His wife Toya Carter was with him. They were headed to Indiana.

Memphitz is in custody on a charge of “carrying a weapon in an unauthorized location.”

UPDATE: Mickey Wright appeared in court on Tuesday where a judge granted him a $5000 bond.
