Young Chris and Rico Love were on the show last week. They talk about Young Chris’s signing with Rico Love’s label, Division One/Universal Motown. Chris talks about being stuck on Def Jam saying “they held me back… I wasn’t a priority,” and why he ultimately chose Division One over other label’s including Interscope and Young Money. He talks about maintaining good relationships with Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Dame Dash and Jay-Z.

He talks about “Throwback” being one of the first songs he ever wrote off Usher’s multi-platinum album Confessions. He’s also written hits for Beyonce “Sweet Dreams,” Dirty Money “Hello, Good Morning,” Pleasure P “Boyfriend No. 2,” and Nelly “Just A Dream.” Young Chris discusses his upcoming mixtape “The Reintroduction,” due out November 20th.
